HitmanPro Alert is a security solution that defends against viruses and malware and has enhanced features, such as a sandbox, safe browsing, and a keylogger guard.

HitmanPro Alert is a security suite that builds on the HitmanPro package. HitmanPro is a powerful security tool that provides real-time detection for viruses and malware. It’s intended to work alongside an antivirus program, and it can kill zero-hour threats that your AV solution can miss. It also features cloud-assisted scanning as well as remediation via crowd-sourced machine learning. In other words, it can overcome infections by having learned from other users.

HitmanPro Alert builds on that with a number of excellent features, such as online banking protection. Keystroke encryption defends you from keyloggers. It blocks malicious USB devices, notifies you of webcam activations, protects you browsing experiences and more. It even has a vaccination tool that can terminate threats that are aware that they’re running in a sandbox.

The user experience is streamlined and the UI is well-organized. For more users HitmanPro Alert will just work. For users who want more granular control you’ll find that too. Be mindful that while HitmanPro and HitmanPro Alert can be used as standalone solutions they’re not best suited to that. Traditional AV solutions will still usually be better at dealing with known threats.

HitmanPro Alert provides a 30-day trial. The trial includes all features and is provided without obligation. After 30 days the program isn’t free. On the upside, the subscription is annual rather than monthly, and the rate was competitive at the time of this review. On the downside, a subscription covers just one PC, and there wasn’t a discount available for multiple licenses. It’s also worth considering that you’ll likely have to pay a subscription for your main AV program as well.
